I found this image of Mr. Cazares and his newly created fish necklace. I'm assuming the image was taken in Patzcuaro in his workshop. Note that the necklace has changed very little or not at all. I found of these on a website and the seller was asking $450. I thought that was little high but on the other hand, its probably cheaper than traveling to Patzcuaro and visiting Mr. Cazares personally.

My Patzcuaro Earrings
So I own the matching necklace to these earrings. According the seller of these earrings, these were made by the nephew of Mr. Jesus Cazares. Mr. Cazares, as you may recall, is the original maker of the fish necklaces based on a design by Miguel Covarrubias - how do I know this? Cuz its noted in the Davis & Pack Mexican Jewelry book. Of note, Mr. Cazares does not have a stamp or makers mark. No marks are described or shown in any of the books. Still, the flat fish design is distinctly Pazcuaro, Michoacan. I cant wait for Tere to see these! She will die!

My Aguilar Maguey Bracelet

Fully hallmarked and signed with the old HA 940 stamps, I am thrilled to be the new owner of this bracelet. It has a small ding on it but its hardly noticeable so I dont care - that and it was a good price. I love wearing it and I love looking at it. Iconic in design, pictured in every big book of silver, who wouldnt love this piece?

My Hands N Fish Buckle

Its 8 inches long and I'm pretty sure its pictured in one of the Big Books of Silver. Severely modernist in design, to me it screams Hubert Harmon. I've never seen this design for sale on ebay or elsewhere. Its a great piece but despite all that its not marked - well marked simple TAXCO Silver - eagle mark 3...but thats OK - its still a nice piece.

My Wannabe Hubert Harmon Poodle

Its a wannabe Hubert Harmon - If you recall Hubert was obsessed with his whole Poodlemania in the 1960's. Hubert is described as odd, bizarre, whimsical, different. He definitely was not like other boys and this brooch signed MAYA MEXICO is great. Maya even left a loop above the eyebrow - it actually looks like a piercing! I love it - - and again, a rare and hard to find piece by either Hubert or Maya.
